Our History
Lemont National Bank began as Lemont City Bank in 1901 and, as the town grew, so did our Bank. In 1920, Lemont City Bank changed its name to Lemont National Bank, a name our Bank carries to this day. Back in the 1920s, the Bank lobby featured full wall bullet proof glass separating customers from the tellers. Customers would bend over, lean close to small windows in the glass, and shout to talk to the bank teller during transactions.
